A reminder that existing on and engaging with platforms owned or run by fascists (and/or technocrats who want to replace art with AI) actively helps those platforms thrive

Stop using them.

I know it may not be simple because your audience is there or your friends / family are there - use what influence you have to get people to leave with you. It's kinda now or never, y'know??

Also, a reminder that following the closure of Cohost I'm no longer on any social media except for:

  1. Bluesky - which I do not trust but it is the location where the majority of people I knew from Cohost and pre-storebrand south african nazi twitter went

  2. Mastodon - which is fine but I often forget about it

  3. TikTok - which prior to the ban I only posted videos every Thursday of cats jumping on my back as I start my workday. With the changes post-ban I may not continue. I got a day to figure it out, but needless to say I don't take my presence there seriously.

  4. This blog! It's not technically social media but you can comment below on the things I post, and I can count on it existing if Bluesky were to pivot to AI bullshit or my Mastodon instance was shut down by moderator infighting.

Anyway, you've earned a bit of cat nonsense:
