I make music and take photos and make art and also run a joint cat rescue / recording studio in southern new england with my partner Della. I started blogging as a result Cohost's demise and I think I'm better for it. (Miss cohost a lot though)

I make music! Predominantly as the frontperson of a band called Curious Quail which started as a solo chiptune / orchestral thing and now has five official members but really sorta expands to anyone I'm working with at any given time. Our highest count on-stage was 8 but hell, you might also be in the band at this point.

I take photos! Pre-Covid I primarily covered live music and events (with an emphasis on making animated gifs) but these days I kinda just do whatever. I'm available for hire for portraits and (provided safety precautions are in place) events in the southern New England area.

Art Stuff

In 2020 during the height of the first lockdown, we took in a kitten who had an awful sleep schedule which in turn meant I had an awful sleep schedule. On the bright side, I turned my delirium into 'learn Blender and start drawing' and have been making stuff ever since. Current project is a series called The Ongoing Adventures of Magical Insurance Bureaucrats in a World Recovering from a Failed Alien Invasion.

Cat Stuff

In 2016 my partner and I found 5 newborn kittens in our yard. In some cosmic joke, this process would repeat every few months until we accepted our fate.

We've turned our home into a fully functional cat rescue where we take in ferals, fix / vax and attempt to rehome, while also keeping in high risk or 'undatopable' cats. We also run a recording studio out of the same building which leads to amazing antics.

¹ The one exception I know of to the @curiousquail rule is tiktok where someone sniped the name and I'm @curious.quail, but I basically just post a video every Thursday of cats climbing on my back on there, not missing much.
