I'm sick, time to edit photos of 'autumn color' from the week

photo of a tree that's been overgrown with ivy, but the branches of another tree with orange leaves have twined into them

Probably because I spent so much time at the animal hospital over the weekend but even with masking and being incredibly diligent about decontaminating at home (having an immuno-compromised spouse and kid will teach to you take that shit seriously), I caught something and it's wrecked my sinuses, my head and my energy levels.

closeup of the red leaves on the tree, their color vibrant and intense

but hey if I'm stuck in bed I might as well post the photos I've taken of fall colors™ from the week so far. If New England is gonna New England and I have a camera, we all might as well enjoy it - right?

photo of an overcast day with the camera aimed upward toward a tree with leaves turning orange and powerlines crossing the left vertically

I know I've mentioned this before but I grew up in a city that had predominantly underground power, so powerlines overhead are such a novelty to me.

Oh speaking of - this tree. This fucking tree!! I can't get over how cool this thing is.

A large tree that's been parted down the middle to allow powerlines to go through; it resembles a giant U shape

anyway, here's hoping I get better soon so I can go on more photowalks over the weekend. The colors are starting to get out of hand [complimentary].
