Beautybush
We have this plant outside our place that for most of the year is just a normal looking green bush thing - but for about 1-2 weeks in the early summer every year it blooms these ridiculous flowers. It's called a beautybush:
two-ish weeks though, that's all you get. The rest of the year, it's a flowerless shrub. I was going through my photo backlog and realized I'd never posted these from last year's bloom. Looking forward to this year's!
