CDS - Zone 2 - Relay Point Ithara

Notes from the Director of the Salvage Insurance Bureau

Dark graph paper with two images; one rectangular and one square. On the left, a wide shot of a jungle-like setting encased in ice and blueish, purplish hue over the scene. There are frozen palm trees and knocked over stone structures. The square image on the right is a close up shot of a character wearing a green hood; they have antlers, a bird-like beak and glowing green eye. In their right hand is a camera, and floating above them is a glowing pink-ish lantern. A text box reads 'Sure didn't undersell the 'Frozen Jungle' part did they'
The top left of the graph paper reads 'HandiNote Field' and on the top right is a field for 'NAME: - handwritten is 'Tamm - SIB 48692J0473'
"Galuk? Is that you? Get in here, we got another dispatch from Tamm while you were out with the Commerce Authority goons.

Y'know, I never believed all the stories we were told about Ithara when I was back in school - I mean, cold up in the mountains sure - but 'entire jungle frozen over'? Too much even for my active imagination.

But hey, I was with the Science Corps and it was one of the first places I was stationed after we all moved up here post-war, Coalition founding days. You'll even find my signature in the formal protest memo opposing the mandatory withdrawal order from up top when the 'living, actively expanding ecosystem despite inhospitable temperatures' discovery was made. They deemed the whole thing 'an affront to the laws of nature' and recalled us back to Urami instead of allowing further research.

I'm pretty sure that signature cost me a promotion and is how I ended up at 'Salvage in the first place.

Anyway - Tamm swears they got a lead on the Armadillo's location that took them out there, but I don't think the kid has any idea what they're walking into."
