Daily Dex - Bisharp and Petilil (Project Hiatus)
In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop (and that stop has come!)
I got sick last week and it kinda messed up my rhythm; I've traditionally been able to be sick and keep drawing these but I had enough other stuff going on that when I woke up last Monday morning I realized...I hadn't drawn one for that Sunday.
To be clear, this is a highly informal project; the "deadlines" aren't real, no one is depending on me, etc etc but I had this sort of momentary panic where I thought I had to keep it going somehow. A sort of "But what if... I were to draw a Sunday entry on Monday and disguise it as authentic? Oh ho ho ho ho ho! Delightfully devilish, MSD" but the aurora borealis was not, in fact, centralized entirely in my kitchen and I realized this could not fucking matter less! And that thinking I needed to keep it going (when the original plan was every day until it wasn't every day) wasn't healthy.
Also like, again - I was sick AND busy...then I just kinda forgot lmao.
So I've decided to pause the project. Hiatus is prolly the best word? I may continue at a later date but with Birthdaversary coming up (21 years of marriage this weekend!), lot of life changes (Blog post soonβ’, all good stuff) in the near future AND Blaugust (Here's last year's) just around the corner - I wanted to reduce a stressor in my life and lmfao if taking "drawing pokemon" off the list was just the lift I needed.

What the fuck is this thing. It's like Mega Man X Boomer Kuwanger's prior evolution. I know nothing about it, but I'm not really a fan. I get that Ceruledge didn't come till way later but god damn if that's a significantly better version of this idea; a sharp armor person. Shoulda done Ceruledge for my final pokemon smdh.

Gun to my head; before starting this project if you'd asked me what game this thing came from I would say a goddamn Mario title and I really don't think you could really blame me for that before telling me I'm wrong and ending my life. Why I'm being killed over this pokemon? Who could say but that's the thought my brain had and blogs are nothing if not a place for escaped brain gremlins.
