Daily Dex - Hisuian Voltorb, Ditto and Espeon
In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop
Fri 11/21/25 - Hisuian Voltorb
For each of these sometimes I'm directly inspired, sometimes I just roll a random number. Voltorb was the latter; I got '100' on the list and thought sure, but since I played a fair amount of Arceus I wanted to do the Hisuian variant and man. Look at this monstrosity of color. The oranges, the browns, the 'Electric / Grass' typing - really messing with the identity of the creature tbh.
Sat 11/22/25 - Ditto
I was tired; slept like ass and my kid was sick all night so I took an easy out. I know I'll only have a few of these easy ones to draw and gotta pick my battles but it was worth it. Also can we talk about how Ditto was lowkey terrifying in the Detective Pikachu film.
Sun 11/23/25 - Espeon
Aforementioned sick kid got to pick today's - they originally just asked for one of the Eveelutions but I had them pick their favorite. I still can't believe all these generations later there are still no Bug, Dragon, Fighting, Flying, Ghost, Ground, Poison, Rock, or Steel type Evees. It seems like such an easy thing to toss in "Oh damn, now there's a Figthing Evee" etc etc.
A ghost Eveelution that eats the souls of dead evees wouldn't be anything less in line than every other ghost pokemon who devours children or is the spirit of a woman who froze to death. Ghost type pokemon lore gets fuckin DARK, I don't make the rules.
