In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop
As a starter, wanna toss out that the Supreme Court ending pride month 2026 with "eh maybe trans people shouldn't have any rights" is pretty par for the course with the christofascist regime we're living in but that doesn't make it any less painful, especially in light of the 8-1 vote upholding conversion "therapy" back on the Trans Day of Visibility. It feels designed to hurt intentionally.
Anyway, short term I don't know what the next step is other than keep fighting, keep getting involved in your local community and mutual aid (The Transgender Law Center could always use help, btw) because the "Democrats" won't save us; they want to appeal to "moderates" and it's such a capitulating losing battle. Like sure, I won't ever vote for a red candidate, and I'm not so much of a leftist that I'd never vote for a blue one but they like gotta actually show that they won't roll over to placate "decorum" while people are being actively violenced.
Trans rights are humans rights
Even if you are not trans and "this doesn't impact me", not only do you probably know someone who is (closeted or otherwise) but we as humans gain nothing from restricting the rights of any of our classes of people.

back to Pokemon.
For some reason I thought I'd already posted a few of these and when I checked my photos folder I realized there was a discrepancy. I don't like doing [checks notes] six pokemon in one post but that's how it shakes down some times.

I get that this is mushroom adjacent because of the name but like, I think it has more in common with some kind of sea creature. Not feeling it.

Another case of "I started from the wrong scale and now half the pokemon is missing" but I'm ok with it. Didn't really look forward to drawing those paws anyway.

This may not surprise you but I do not have a good system of keeping track of these other than tags on the blog and folder names on my photo archive; if I like, typo a name when archiving the photo and can't find it during search if I've forgotten I did it, I may well do it again without realizing lmao. I know I could like, make a checklist but the willy-nilly vibes help keep the thing going.
Which is to say, I TRIPLE checked for this one cuz I could have sworn I did Swirlix already but alas - it was clear!
