Daily Dex - Yanma, Clefairy, Smoochum, Monferno and Gholdengo
In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop
The weekend was not nearly as long as I wanted it to be - ever notice how 48 hours as a system of measurement is like, highly unreliable?
Anyway, here's the pokemon from the last few days. Two icons, some filler and something I'd file under "oh absolutely not"

I think for my own sake I'm going limit myself to the "just a bird" type thought exercises to the bird pokemon because if I extend that to the rest of the animal kingdom I'd prolly lose my mind. This is like, just a dragonfly. Nothing to see here.
I also really wanted to make a "Yanma 1/2" Ranma joke but I just couldn't find it. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Excluding intentional theming in the project or outright requests, I think this is the closest a natural evolution has happened in the RNG: Infernape was what - less than two weeks ago?
Nothing really different to say about Monferno though. I think this one suffers heavily from "starter pokemon middle evolution" disease. Chimchar is cute, Infernape is evoking store brand Monkey King but this thing just kinda exists.

Ok let's fucking go.
When I got the Legends Z-A DLC I started finding these fucking coins everywhere and I didn't understand it. Then I met a dude who wanted to give me a sentient treasure chest and wouldn't you know it, having nearly 1000 of these coins turned that chest into probably one of the most broken pokemon in that game.
Gholdengo in Z-A hits like a truck and is really hard to stop. I don't necessarily like the design but god damn it was an easy choice for them to become one of my main team. I found a Shiny later on and was immediately let down because the only color change is that the orange bands around the coins (which are hard to see on the gold anyway) become green.
Oh well! Can't win em all. (Unless you have a Gholdengo on your team I guess)
