Daily Dex - Yveltal, Dipplin, and Regirock
In which I challenge myself to draw a pokemon every day until I stop
The work continues! Let's take a look at a few pokemon:
Tues 06/02/2026 - Yveltal
When I started this project I knew it wasn't gonna be all dittos and simple line art creatures, I knew the legendaries and ultra beasts and more complex designs would be coming at some point. Hell, the more I was playing Z-A at the time the more I dreaded Yveltal specifically showing up in the project but at last, RNG favored (or cursed) me and here we have the legendary bat dragon bird thing.
Bask in its glory. I think I did ok.
For what it's worth, the concern with the more complex designs isn't from a "it's hard" position, it's from a "I'm limiting myself to ten minutes" position and at some point I'm gonna have a legendary that looks like the horse drawing meme.
Weds 06/03/2026 - Dipplin
Ok, I see what we're putting down here. We've had Dipplin's predecessor on the Daily Dex previously and with the increase in tail size I can see the dragon direction (I tried combining those two words and was immediately hit with regret) it's going but it turns out there's like 4 of these? Different types of dragons evolving from different types of apples - but unlike other pokemon with variants they all have actual names and evolutions rather than just 'x form'. Wild. For a fucking apple dragon. The original designs in Scarlet/Violet are bonkers.
Thurs 06/04/20266 - Regirock
This is gonna sound ridiculous but I've heard of a group of pokemon called "The Reggies" and I had no idea what to expect, but a bunch of (frankly bland design) legendary pokemon was not it. Like, there's nothing wrong with Regirock but it's just a rock man. I like the salt rock dudes more tbh.
Anyway, thanks for tuning in. As always, if you have a request and we haven't covered them before, drop a comment or an email on the contact page.
