Decorative Gourd Season, Motherfuckers
Halloween's a good a day as any to post more fall colors

At least once a year I think about the Colin Nissan McSweeny's piece about fall and that dog hit me this morning as I was collecting some fall colors with the ol' camera.
It makes me chuckle so much and I wasn't surprised to see the addendum that it's their most viewed piece on the site ever. Anyway, join me on a tour of some fall colors.
I don't even know which plant this is but it turns red much quicker than any of the others each year.
I don't mind though because it helps contribute to the overall color palette with those refusing to lose the green.
Also for anyone who has known me for a length of time you should understand I still haven't given up on the green chucks. It also adds a nice contrast.
The oak tree hasn't quite committed to the season yet. Maybe I can grab another collage before the rest of the leaves fall off.
There are two Japanese Maples out there and one of them (the northern facing one, left) turns red much slower than the southern (right) one. I know shit about directional placement of plants other than 'moss grows on north if you're lost in the woods'.
And for the road - here's a photo of Mastodon who is tired out from watching me chase leaves from his vantage point in the studio.
Oh and a Happy Halloween to all whom celebrate. May your costumes bring you joy even if they are not immediately understood by others.
