It's Portfolio Day Again My dudes
One of my favorite things about Portfolio Day (a nebulous tradition that in theory is meant for artists who are looking for work to post their stuff) is that it means whatever social media you're on that observes it is littered... ok maybe not that word choice since it has a negative connotation - let's say "drenched"? - in amazing art.
I'm not currently hiring or commissioning anyone but goddamn if I were, I take notes on the work I see and their contact info for later.
The funny thing is that it feels like we've hit a Schrodinger's portfolio day; it's always simultaneously portfolio day and not. I'm told there's an actual schedule to this but you can't make me look it up because it'd ruin the magic. I don't want to plan for it!! I want to see a TL full of amazing shit and go "oh fuck, I need to post my stuff".
