Man I've never been this excited to do laundry in my LIFE
Cat life comes with tradeoffs
As you can imagine, living with a lot of cats has mostly benefits. Endless cuddles, unconditional love expressed through loud throat vibrations, never bored, etc etc.
The only downsides are the financial upkeep - and I don't mean vet bills, food and litter costs, those are built in; I mean the wear and tear on anything mechanical you hold dear due to what I like to call
"Cat hair as ambient level radiation"
What I mean by this is that no matter how much you brush your cat or they clean themselves, cat hair exists as sure as there is oxygen. It permeates all things like the force or the perennial wave; it can (and does) corrode all that it touches over time.
Through the last few years I've lost:
- one vacuum
- two (TWO!) laptops
- and now a washing machine.
This shit adds up!
Window AC unit probably next since Gargoyle's always perched on it
Anyway we finally a new washer (we'll be eating ramen for the foreseeable future fml) and after almost weeks of not having one it's pretty goddamn freeing to not have be super delicate with my towels because I don't know when I'm gonna next be able to get to a laundromat.
Just in time for a three day weekend lmfao
