Woodpecker Season

I feel like if I keep having to say this it stops being 'a bit' and more of 'who I am' but I'm not a birder!!!! (despite having my entire artist and musical career on the back of a band with a bird in it's name) I just happen to be a photographer and there KEEPS BEING COOL BIRDS TO PHOTOGRAPH.

I mean seriously, look at this lady!! (I know it's a lady because only male downy woodpeckers have the patch of red on the back of ther...oh god what has happened to me)
